Oak Hollow Sailing Club held its May 2013 Regatta on Saturday, May 18th, under threatening skies and changing wind conditions. In spite of the poor weather forecast, 19 of our sailors were present, with 15 boats represented. Race committee duties were handled by Tait and Leslie Humphries and Bob Bass. Carl Simmons and Connie Sloan provided refreshments. Thank you ladies and gentlemen!
The storms stayed away (but so did the wind in Race 3) and we were able to run three races (actually two races and one “float”). Fourteen sailors participated in at least one of the races, with Mike and Marie Schram working on their skills at the opposite end of the lake.
Congratulations to race winners Michael Nordahl (winner of Races 1 and 2) and Art Hudgins who outlasted everyone in Race 3 after the wind died.
Thank you to all who participated. As always it was a great day on the lake!
